Know Your Customer, commonly called KYC, is an account-verification process. A platform may request identity, address or payment-ownership information before allowing withdrawals or when an account reaches a review stage. The request can be inconvenient, but the correct response is to verify that it is genuine and use the official process.

Why a review can happen

Common reasons include legal age and location checks, anti-fraud controls, payment ownership, unusual account activity, duplicate-account concerns and requirements connected to a promotion. A review does not by itself prove that an account has done anything wrong.

The terms should explain what information can be requested and when. If the explanation is missing or inconsistent, contact support through the official website before uploading anything.

Typical documents

Depending on the operator and jurisdiction, a review may request a government-issued identity document, proof of address, a selfie or a payment-method confirmation. Requirements vary, so do not send documents that were not requested.

Check that the upload page uses the official domain and a secure connection. Avoid sending identity documents through an unverified social-media account, private email address or messaging app contact.

Protect your personal information

Use a clear, current document and follow the instructions exactly. Do not alter the document or hide information that the verification team specifically needs. At the same time, do not disclose passwords, one-time codes, private keys or full payment PINs; a legitimate verification process should not need them.

Keep a record of what you submitted and when. If possible, use the platform’s secure upload area and review its privacy policy to understand retention and processing.

If a withdrawal is delayed

Check the account notifications, verification status, payment method and withdrawal terms. Ask official support for the reference number, missing item and expected review stage. Keep the conversation factual and avoid opening duplicate accounts or repeatedly cancelling and recreating the withdrawal.

If someone asks you to send money to a private wallet, purchase gift cards or share a security code to release a withdrawal, stop and verify through the official account support channel. Those are serious warning signs.

Before you deposit

Read the identity, payment and withdrawal sections before funding an account. Confirm the minimum withdrawal, processing window, supported payment methods and whether a bonus creates additional conditions. The crypto deposit checklist covers extra checks for blockchain payments.
